Salary Research Report

Methodology-first · Compensation Research

A planned compensation report that preserves source date, geography, level and package assumptions instead of combining incompatible salary figures.

Research questions

Method

  1. Record source, publication date, observation date and geography.
  2. Keep base, variable compensation, equity and benefits as separate fields where possible.
  3. Do not merge incompatible salary populations into one number.
  4. Show ranges and assumptions when the source supports them.
  5. Flag stale, incomplete or self-reported data instead of silently treating it as precise.

Publication rule

No findings, sample sizes, percentages or compensation figures are implied by this methodology page. A published result requires an actual source set, dated observations and a disclosed limitations section.
