Methodology-first · Resume Research
A planned recurring report on resume structure, skills, achievement language and formatting. Results are published only after a defined source set is actually collected and analyzed.
Research questions
- Which resume sections appear in the source set?
- How often do skills and quantified outcomes appear?
- Which achievement verbs and evidence patterns recur?
- How does formatting vary by role, level or source?
- Which observations are strong enough to report and which require more data?
Method
- Define the source population and collection date before analysis.
- Normalize section names, skill labels and equivalent terms without changing the underlying evidence.
- Count observations using a documented rule set and retain the raw source references.
- Separate descriptive counts from interpretation.
- Publish sample size, inclusion rules, limitations and update date with every result.
Expected outputs
- Dataset definition
- Coding dictionary
- Reproducible counts
- Limitations log
- Research report
Publication rule
No findings, sample sizes, percentages or compensation figures are implied by this methodology page. A published result requires an actual source set, dated observations and a disclosed limitations section.
